There are two kinds of self-love. There is the kind that is associated with ego inflation; a self-absorption that is seen where maturity is lacking and a person becomes unhealthily fixated on themselves and how they compare to others. In today's political climate, we see it a lot in national figures.
On the other hand, self-love can be healthy, empowering and a vital component of our wellbeing.
In this book I describe both. The good kind can take time and energy to cultivate and I explain how this can be done and how our lives can be improved immeasurably by fostering the right kind of self love at our core, regardless of whatever else is happening in the world around us.
